mardi gras!

going to a celebration tonight, will hopefully have photos for tomorrow! here's some history:

"mardi gras is french for "fat tuesday" (in ethnic english tradition, shrove tuesday), referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the lenten season, which begins on ash wednesday."

so basically i'll be celebrating in excess even though i won't be taking anything away for lent. woo!

only took two days, a lot of rest and lemon salt water to help get most of it gone. i should go to the doctor if it's not 100% by tomorrow evening, but i'm recovering quicker than i thought anyway so huzzah!
